Galaxy Fight Club Partners with Top-tier P2E Guilds

Galaxy Fight Club is excited to announce that we are partnered with some of the biggest top-tier guilds in the P2E space. We are partnered with Yield Guild Games (YGG SEA), Avocado Guild, Perion, PATH DAO, Polemos, as well as Unsung Guild and Yunko Association who have been with us on this journey since the start.

What are guilds?

Guilds are something that most people would have heard of from playing online games, especially MMORPGs like Runescape or World of Warcraft. They are fundamentally a group of players who play the game together and help each other to achieve different objectives. In the world of P2E Gaming, this takes on more meaning than in traditional games.

Guilds in the P2E space are still formed by group of players and usually a company or some type of organization managing these players but the difference is that they are banded together because of financial incentives and opportunities. Most P2E games today have two layers of access, the first is free-to-play and the other is playing with premium heroes or NFTs, the latter usually attached with some added benefits compared to free-to-play players such as superior in-game stats or rewards.

Guilds allow players who might not have been able to afford it to play with these premium heroes or NFTs. By playing with these premium NFTs, these players are usually able to earn much more than if they played as normal free-to-play characters, the guild then benefit by taking a share of their earnings from borrowing their NFTs.

Why is this important for GFC?

Galaxy Fight Club’s Genesis Galaxy Fights and Genesis weapons allow players to win gold keys instead of silver keys from battles, with gold keys opening higher-tier and more rare loot. Guilds allow players from developing countries who might not be able to afford these NFTs to play with them in the game.

This is important to the GFC game ecosystem because it allow more of the assets to be played with instead of just sitting in people’s wallets being unproductive assets. Second is that it aligns with GFC’s objective of giving back to the community, we always believe in letting everyone from the community benefit from our growth and guilds allow people from all socioeconomic status to benefit from the growth of the Galaxy Fight Club ecosystem.

Guilds are organizations that makes P2E accessible for many players who cannot afford the NFT assets themselves, they often purchase NFTs in bulk and then lend them back to their scholars in a revenue split model. Partnering with guilds enable easier onboarding and organizing a large amount of player. These 7 guilds we are partnered with are just the start, we are in discussion with many more and will onboard many more in the future to expand our userbase.

Twitter Spaces with Guilds

We held Twitter with a number of these guilds over the week, namely Yield Guild Games SEA, Avocado Guild and Perion Guild, you can see what they have said about GFC below or re-listen to some of the recordings.

“what sold me on GFC, other than your passion and honesty, is how you add functionality… essentially forcing NFTs to evolve from a 2d portrait to a fully functional 3d bodied character”
- Evan S, cofounder and CEO of YGG SEA

“Who doesn’t want to bring their favorite characters from different titles and bring them into one game, GFC educated people on what can be done through NFTs”
- Brendino, founder of Avocado Guild

“The main consideration for us is projects that push the NFT gaming space. What Galaxy fight club is doing is adding a utility layer to PFP Projects, allowing someone come in and interact and actually play a game with their collection is a huge plot angle that we don’t think people understand quite yet”
- Mitch, cofounder of Perion Guild

Galaxy Fight Club lending systems

Galaxy Fight Club will have two systems that allow for guilds and scholarships to be integrated seamlessly into our game 1) traditional scholarship system 2) collateral-free trust-less lending system with automatic loot split

Option 1: Traditional scholarship system

This is the scholarship system that is used in most of the other P2E games in the space today, it involves linking your wallets with an email and giving this email to your scholars to play the game for you. All loot is deposited into the wallet holding the NFT assets (e.g. fighters and weapons), the loot split or compensation distribution is done manually by the asset owner hence it is a system that requires a degree of trust between asset owner and scholar. This model is popularised by Axie Infinity and currently used by most guilds.

Option 2: Collateral-free trust-less lending system

The traditional scholarship system is wonderful if you already have scholars you hired and they can trust you to compensate them fairly. But what if you don’t know any scholar? This is where the collateral-free trust-less lending system comes in, this system allows both individuals and guilds alike to lend out their assets (lenders) through a platform to other individuals who are looking to rent the assets (renters).

The assets being lended out will be locked inside a contract and the lender will have the option of either charging a fixed fee (e.g 0.2E) for lending out the asset for a fixed period of time or they could also opt for a loot share revenue split model where the loot are distributed fairly between the lenders and renters. For example for every 2 keys earned by the renter, 1 will be deposited into the wallet of the lender and the other into the wallet of the renter.
