Galaxy Fight Club Game Development and P2E Mechanics
The fight is almost here! We are now just days away from the launch of Galaxy Fight Club on August 15, 2021 at 7pm EST.
Galaxy Fight Club (GFC) is the first cross-brand and cross-platform PvP fighting game where players can fight with their own collection of avatars. All you need to be able to play is your own Galaxy Fighter, which you can mint randomly on our platform this Sunday at 7pm EST. You’ll be able to fight as the Galaxy Fighters you own or choose another avatar from the collection in your wallet.
Battling and Game Mechanics
The game will be a 2.5D platformer-styled fighting game. Fighters will be able to engage in melee and ranged combat with a movement system that allows them to move down, left, and right, jump, and double jump.
There are 2 main factors that determine the outcome of a battle in equal measures:
- The overall strength of your Fighter
- Your gameplay performance
GFC won’t just be a pay-to-win game. Although a rare fighter with strong armour and weapons may provide an advantage, the rest will depend on how skilled your gameplay is.
Game Development and Roadmap:
We believe in under-promising and over-delivering — building a successful game is not easy. With that being said, we believe our team gives us an advantage, as we have experience creating some of the top PvP games out there.
The hardest part in creating a successful PvP game is developing the underlying battle system, a skill that only comes from experience accumulated from working on other successful PvP games. This has already been developed and basic battles can already be played as shown in our demo:
Playable demos will be available in September, where playtest sessions will be carried out with members of our community. Throughout September and October, we will be iterating our game based on feedback from the community. Once the game is released in November, players will be able to play the game with other players in the Battle Arena or simply have fun in our Training Gym mode. In the same month, we will also be holding our first official ‘winner-takes-all’ style tournament with a grand prize of 100eth.
In December, we’ll be adding a Battle Royale mode (as opposed to just 1v1) where you can have team battles, you’ll be able to form teams with your friends and fight against other teams on our maps.
In 2022 and beyond, we will introduce some play-to-earn mechanics into the game. For example, the weapons system is already a big part of our battle system, we plan to introduce weapons as rewards from fighters. This allows the fighter who received the drop to either keep the weapon to use himself to win more fights or sell it on the secondary market for profit.
