Dev Blog Summary
a) Game and Web 3 Development
- We made a number of changes which were directly requested by the community, these include adding new maps, adding a loadout background, nerfing Hammer of Gods and others
- Added two new weapons as well as reworked and balanced a number of existing weapons, the full notes are detailed below
- On the web3 side, the team has been testing a number of features already released including phase 1 of the new dashboard, they are also working on a number of new features that will be released in the coming weeks including new forging logic that reduces weapon ingredients from 4 to 2 and new Gen 2 training logic
b) Business Development & Marketing
- With everything that is going on in the markets, we would just like to say that GFC did not hold any funds on FTX or had any exposure to FTT, we are not affected by the market turbulence and have ample runway (12+ months) to continue building into 2023
- On the marketing side GFC has entered into the second stage of the series of events as part of our Cross-IP Championship, the community qualifying tournaments will be starting in full force soon
- We are very excited to announce that we will be part of the ‘Round Table’ hosted by Wolf Game on Wednesday, November 16th. Make sure to visit the tweet in the blog and set your reminders; we are also scheduled for another Twitter Spaces with Perion Gaming on November 17th
- GFC hosted our own booth at another two events alongside YGGSEA this month, one of which was the “Crypto Expo” in Bangkok, Thailand — this event alone attracting over 250,000 visitors across 4 days. We hosted some mini-tournaments, made some freebies for visitors and are excited that our booth was overall well attended.
c) Community
- This week we hired Guru as the new community manager. Guru has been with the GFC community for very long time and we believe that he will be able to do a great job in this position.
- Bi-weekly tournaments will resume starting next week once Guru has gotten up to speed on Community manager responsibilities
- We will also focus on a number of new initiatives to improve communication between team and community, for example having more 1 on 1 Doctore and Battlepass holder calls as well as logging community suggestions and questions to provide updates/comments from team
- Finally, we are asking looking for your support. If you are a content creator and are looking to help us create content around GFC, please let us know. If you know any great content creators, we will be very grateful for any meaningful introductions!
A: Game and Web 3 Development
GAME
Game System:
- Increased the time limit for connection before being kicked out from 10 seconds to 15 seconds
- Updated the team division logic in ranked matches so there will be an equal number of real players on both teams
- Added 2 new maps as part of the ranked matches, these maps will be randomised
- Fixed character initialization for “CryptoRaider” collection
- Fixed trophy display issue in menu screen
- Added new system for “Metakey” and “OnlySnipers” collection weapons


UI:
- Added new background for game lobby
- Changed several feature in UI including server selection, random map 3v3 selection and other effects
New Weapon:
- Metakey weapon: normal skill: slash horizontally and deal damage to all enemy in range. Ultimate skill: rotate then slash horizontally, dealing damage to all enemy in range and stunning them for 1s
- OnlySnipers weapon: normal skill: fire a bullet straight, deal damage to single target enemy, after firing for the first time it would need to recharge bullet for about 2s before firing the next bullet; ultimate skill: fire an ultra-powerful bullet, dealing damage to all enemy in the way of the bullet.
Weapon Skill:
Rework skill:
Sling Shot: now ultimate skill will prepare and set a trap on the ground which is visible for the enemy. When the enemy trigger the trap, they will receive damage and will stack with 2.5s. Trap duration is 60s and can stack.
Megalo Maniac: now ultimate prepare and set a magic mine on ground, visible for enemy. When enemy trigger, the mine will cause an explosion and deal damage aoe and slow enemy for 2s. Trap duration is 60s and self-explosion. Mines can stack.
Bruna Plasma Shotty: now ultimate prepare and set a trap on ground, visible for enemy. When enemy trigger with trap will receive damage and will stacked with 2.5s. Trap duration is 60s and can stack.
Tenderizer: Ultimate will prepare and set a mine on ground, invisible for enemy. When enemy triggers it, the mine will cause explosion and deal aoe damage. Trap duration is 50s and explodes automatically. Mines can stack.
Lion Roar: Ultimate will prepare and set a mine on ground, invisible for enemy. When enemy triggers it, the mine will cause explosion and deal aoe damage. Trap duration is 60s and explodes automatically. Mines can stack.
Shuriken Blades: Ultimate will now prepare and set a poison trap on the ground, visible for enemy. When enemy triggers it, they will receive poison damage and slowed or 2 seconds. Trap lasts for 35s and can stack.
Switch Blade: Ultimate will now prepare and set a poison trap on the ground, visible for enemy. When enemy triggers it, they will receive poison damage for 3 seconds. Trap lasts for 40s and can stack.

UPCOMING FEATURES
- Dashboard revamp
Phase 1 of the revamped dashboard has gone live, there is a new look with brighter colors and more stable backend service, and you can find the link to it attached below. As mentioned in the last update, this page is not going to replace the old dashboard just now, we are releasing it as beta to put it through the stress of real use cases and daily traffic.
Both of the dashboard will be fully functional during this beta period, and we are more than happy to hear feedback from the community about the new dashboard.

2. Battle Royale Game Mode
Our game devs have been working on the Battle Royale game mode on the game side, currently they are working to strike a balance between enjoyable gameplay and the length of the match.
On the web3 side, Dave and the dev team is working on designing a fluid logic flow to make the process of entering the game mode and claiming rewards. We would like to make the process as smooth as possible as if it was a web2 game.
OTHER ONGOING TASKS
- Weapon forge smart contract update
Status: Ready for deployment
We are making changes to the frontend of the forging page to accommodate the new forging contract. The tiered forging price and 2 ingredient requirement will become live in the coming week, it will be at the same URL and we will notify all of you with an announcement when it is ready.
2. Gen2 outcome calculation tweak
Status: Testing and review
Upon further discussion and getting feedback from the community we understand that reducing the rarity on P2E weapons for training will devalue P2E weapons while not adding much value to the few Genesis weapons that are still in existence (not burnt for forging or training). Therefore, we have decided to maintain the P2E rarity in the training logic as it is and increase the Genesis weapons rarity to balance out the equation.
3. GFC Collab NFTs
Status: Preparing Metadata
We are soon going to have another NFTs in our GFC Collab NFT collection. There are going to be 2 versions of this NFT. Each of these NFT will unlock a corresponding character in our game and will become available to use for those NFT holders in future game build.
B: Business Development & Marketing
We are getting closer and closer to the final Cross-IP Championship. We have entered the 2nd stage of our series of events, the community qualifying tournaments, and are working on executing these qualifiers in full force.
Most participating projects want their own qualifiers, as their community enjoyed their experience playing our game.
The official rules have been shared with the project founders and will be shared with their communities respectively.
Disclaimer: Each player is only allowed to participate in one community qualifier. If the team finds out that players have been participating in multiple communities, the player and their team will be automatically disqualified.
Expect to see many communities announce their qualifiers throughout the next two weeks and stay tuned for more action revolving around the championship!

It has been a great weekend to kick things off with lots of catching up and plans being laid.
First on the docket, of course, without further ado…. BI-WEEKLY TOURNAMENT returning this weekend. Full tournament rules and details coming in the next 24–48 hours. Knock the rust off and start scrimming :)
In ADDITION to the Bi-Weekly tournament…the WORLD CUP is making its glorious return on November 20th… a welcome distraction with recent happenings in the cryptosphere. GFC will be celebrating with some competitive festivities of our own! PLEASE respond to this post with your national flag and find some country mates you would like to team up with.
We ALL love GEN2 fighters right? Yet we have to dig around Opensea to see them!? NO BUENO! Coming soon, GEN2 reveal channel with GEN2 of the week award (as voted by the community with EMOJI COUNT). Stay tuned for the Official Emoji scoring system.
The amount of community suggestions is truly remarkable. We are reading, cataloging and labeling all of them (at least since May so if you have something older than that please reshare) as a first step. There are TONS of good ideas, want to make sure we prioritize, discuss and present the best ones to the powers that be for implementation. Please keep them coming as we will be actively monitoring the channel. If the community is up for it, Guruw will also hold an AMA/roundtable to review past ideas to get fresh community feedback.
