- New characters collections: Bulls on the Block, Habibiz and Uninterested Unicorn added

WORKING TOWARDS P2E
Task 1: NFT auth API optimized and stress tested for heavy in-game use
- Status: Stress testing via Open Beta
Alchemy reached out to the GFC team last week and we had a meeting about how GFC is utilizing Alchemy as our primary Ethereum/Polygon Node provider. There were some exchanges of ideas and Alchemy introduced a few endpoints they have in beta for NFTs, which should be handy for us to use in the future.
There were also some suggestions given to the underlying endpoint that we use for NFT auth API, so we are expecting the performance for that will improve in the future. Also after this introduction, we have a direct point of contact in Alchemy, if we notice anything strange going on with the blockchain nodes, we can always reach out and fix the situation ASAP.
Task 2: Energy system for each NFT
- Status: Testing via Open Beta
We are still monitoring the energy used and rewards earn ratio.
No update on this just yet.
Task 3: Admin panel to monitor game activity and allow for team to ban players or stop players from earning key fragments
- Status: Live for team
More details are being added to the admin panel, for example, sorting players according to their earned keys, displaying the number of played matches and the number of earned keys in the last week alongside each other on the same table view.
These features are added according to the feedback received from the team, and it make understanding the game stats and managing in-game mechanics much easier.
Task 4: Dashboard for key-fragments and keys
- ETA: 30th of June
The key-fragments contract and mint contract for key-fragments have been deployed on testnet alongside with the first internal version of the key dashboard.
Currently, we can connect our wallet to check how many key-fragments we have earned in game. The fragment mint feature has also been implemented, we can mint the key-fragments earned in-game as NFTs if we want to.
We will continue to build and test out the dashboard, the next step would be to deploy the key contracts and have the key-smith feature implemented on the same page. Key-smithing is where the player burns multiple key-fragment NFTs in order to mint a key NFT. We are expecting to have this dashboard complete at the current ETA.
Task 5: New loot box contract for key fragments
Task 6: New forging contract to allow for non-genesis weapons
- Status: In review and testing stage
- ETA: 10th of June -> 24th of June
Final review and testing for the new loot box contract was done last week, we are aiming to have it deployed and live this week. It wouldn’t affect any of your experience since the P2E keys are not available yet, you wouldn’t be able to see the changes yet. Having this deployed and live means that when the P2E keys go live, the transition will be smoother and these burn mechanisms will be ready to go.
After the new loot box contract goes live, the new forging contract will go into the final review stage as well, if everything goes well we can expect it to be deployed and go live next week.
It is taking slightly longer than expected to swap out the old contract with the new, since some new logic has been introduced. The new ETA on this item is going to be 24th of June.
Task 7: Allow Gen 2 training contract to take in non-genesis weapons
- ETA: 17th of June
Task 8: Non-genesis weapon in game
- ETA: 24th of June
Task 9: Game build with rewards in place
- ETA: 15th of July
There are no updates for these 3 items currently, since both of them come after the previous items are completed.
OTHER ONGOING TASKS
We have also been working on a buy-in tournament feature. It will be blockchain enabled, team leaders would create teams on-chain, players can find a team on a dedicated page and join a team by doing an on-chain transaction.
When a tournament is announced, team leaders can pay for the buy-in and enter their team into the tournament. After the tournament is over, the rewards are distributed directly to the winning team’s individual wallet addresses evenly.
This contract is going to be deployed on Polygon, as a lot of interaction will go through this contract and it will be expensive to have it on ETH mainnet. But this also means that the buy-in fee can only be paid in ERC20 tokens that are on Polygon, so GCOIN, ETH on Polygon, USDT/USDT on Polygon etc.
B: Business Development & Marketing
STAKING REWARDS DOUBLED
We have recently decided to our staking rewards, previously 1.5M $GCOIN is now doubled to 3M $GCOIN, the split of staking rewards across single side staking and LP staking remains the same (25% & 75% respectively)
- $GFC → Single-sided staking pool. This pool will receive 25% of the liquidity mining rewards
- $GFC/WETH LP → Liquidity position of 50% $GFC and 50% WETH. This will will receive 75% of the liquidity mining rewards
You can revisit how you can stake you GCOIN ($GFC) with the staking instructions below:
Galaxy Fight Club ($GFC) Staking Instructions
IMPORTANT: Galaxy Fight Club (GCOIN) tokens have a ticker symbol of $GFC on DEXs like Sushiswap and Uniswap
Regarding marketing and business development, we’re excited to kick off the 3rd quarter of 2022 on a strong note.
We’d like to start by announcing that we have spent the past couple of weeks implementing a new bot on our Discord called Bolt, to finally bring our ‘Twitter Impact Program’ to life. This Discord bot will be used to create bounties on our Discord and reward participants for participating in these bounties.
On Monday, June 13th, we will launch the first bounty: ‘Introducing Bolt’. This bounty will ask you to provide the bot with a wallet address of your choice as well as your Twitter handle. The bot and our team will use this information to track participation and distribute rewards in the future.
This launch will make a new channel visible to the community as shown in the following screenshot.
Once interacting with the bounty, a new thread will be unlocked underneath this channel, allowing you to interact with the bot as shown here -
You will then be able to input the required information and get rewarded for participating in our bounties and other activities launched through Bolt.
Secondly, we are excited to announce that we are officially hosting an event at NFTNYC on Tuesday, June 21st, 6 pm — 10 pm.
WAGMI ABOARD — We rented a yacht to provide the community with a once-in-a-lifetime experience as we travel down the Hudson River, all the way down to the statue of liberty while the sun sets and back as the skyline of Manhattan lights up.
To stay aligned with the values and mission of Galaxy Fight Club, we invited some of our partners and friends to share this experience with us.
A special shoutout to our favorite DJ, Tropix, who will be providing us with an amazing set of music as well as the SupDucks team, which will be present to capture the event in picture & video form to make for an amazing recap for anyone who will not be able to attend.
Free food and a one-hour open bar are included.
Speaking of free food, we also want to give a special shout-out to our new official partner — Unstoppable Domains.
To kick off our partnership, their team was kind enough to sponsor food for WAGMI ABOARD in NYC.
We partnered up with Unstoppable Domains to now enable all users of their domains to use those to log in on our login portal.
We are and will continue to explore further possibilities for collaboration with Unstoppable Domains and their community.
In addition to our own, WAGMI ABOARD NYC yacht party, we are excited to provide you with an additional exciting experience for the week of NFTNYC by providing our community with a special VIP access area on Magic Edens Cruise Ship party -
This party will be hosted on June 22nd, 8 pm EST and we will be handing out 30 tickets to our community. We secured a VIP area together with our partner and close friend — Champ (https://twitter.com/champtgram), right next to our friends at Kaiju Kingz.
Speaking of Champ, we had an amazing AMA on his Discord channel, which got his community very excited about GFC, the cross-IP championship as well as our event collaboration.
Finally, to wrap up our activities at NFTNYC, we’re especially happy to be present at the actual main event of NFTNYC alongside our now official partner, Polygon Studios.
We will be taking over their event area on Tuesday, 21st from 11am — 1pm, and will share more details on this soon.
Furthermore, to recap the past two weeks, we had some exciting new partnership announcements, Twitter Spaces, and AMAs.
These included Uninterested Unicorns, who we are excited to have as part of our ecosystem. Their team was kind enough to provide us with ready-to-use in-game models of their Unicorns and we are currently exploring an option to collaborate on the creation of 3d models moving forward.
We also had a Twitter Space with their team which you can check out here —
The second partnership and game integration we announced this past week was featuring Rumble Kong League.
We launched some exciting cross-promotion on Twitter to test out a new onboarding process for partnered projects, maximizing exposure and getting more visibility for both parties.
We will be hosting a Twitter Space with their team on Monday, June 13th at 6pm EST.
To wrap up the marketing section of this biweekly update, we wanted to touch on some recent, rather unusual activities in our Gen 2’s collection.
This is all tied into a special surprise that we’ll be announcing very soon — so make sure to stay tuned ;)
During the last two weeks, we’ve made phenomenal progress in-terms of revamping our Instagram feed , project collaborations, content planning for NFT NYC and our upcoming athlete activation in Austin coming in July.
In addition to the rehaul of many assets, we’ve created another content series called GFC Tutorials with short form content breaking down various things such as setting up your GFC account , Buying GCOIN and Training Genesis 2 Fighters. We have also added a long form series created by our very own AxeCap that can be found on our YouTube below with a series called “Introduction to Galaxy Fight Club” that will more in-depth into the project as whole from various verticals such as breaking down our Weapons, How to Play and much more.
As we all know, we have an exuberant amount of partners and we are always striving to deliver the best experience from teasing projects and really bridging lore’s together as we integrate characters into our universe. You can see some of this at work in our latest partner integration with Rumble Kong League. Stay tuned! The Bruna 8 Universe is expanding — rapidly.
While we know that the majority of the “NFT” community is on twitter, but we believe that all socials need to reflect a certain standard of quality when representing Galaxy Fight Club. We are slowly building out our feed and will continue to-do so as we continue to build not only our game, but our brand presence.
Lastly, as mentioned in our last blog update “GFC CULTURE” , we believe that one of the core primers for growth will always be its community: whether it’s posting about Galaxy Fight Club, participating in the many tournaments that are held in our discord , joining in on #GFCPlayOfTheWeek and even creating content — it starts with our community. With that said, we have created a drive of assets that help push that forward , feel free to check here periodically as we will be uploading various material on a weekly basis.
“We plan to be the 1% of NFT projects that are still relevant 5 years, 10 years from now. To do this it is imperative the project team work with the community, instead of for the community. Since starting Galaxy Fight Club in August 2021 10 months ago the team have operated on a non-interventionist, 100% open and free speech policy in our Discord, however upon reflection we believe great culture in a project, just as in a company, needs to be fostered top-down starting from the team and so the team would like to take this opportunity to share some of our thoughts on this topic and outline some guidelines on conduct moving forward (full article above)
Guidelines on Conduct:
- Constructivism criticism is encouraged but not FUD, there is a fine line between constructivism criticism and destructive complaining/ taking out your frustrations on others
- Take up the role of an active community member instead of a consumer, which means instead of just identifying problems, also think and suggest solutions, or better yet take proactive action to solve these problems as well as participating in community events
We plan to be the 1% of NFT projects that is still relevant 5 years, 10 years from now. To do this it is imperative the project team work with the community, instead of for the community. The GFC team is committed to creating high quality fun-to-play blockchain games as well the accompanying marketing & brand collaterals and we need the community’s help to create the grass-root marketing engine, with the first step starting from fostering a friendly and positive culture.
Tournaments on tournaments on tournaments! Last time around we introduced the Galaxy Community Cup (GCC) and now we are adding the Bi-weekly GFC Tournament to that!
First let’s recap some of the GCC action.
Tournaments one, two and three were all about those basic characters and weapons. Teams had to pick from the four trial weapons and characters to battle it out and it was pretty epic! No hiding between big guns, all about strategy and game-play!
The fourth tournament saw yet another format, weapons banning! Teams got to pick a weapon they would like to see banned during their series. This ban affected both their opponents as their own team. Needless to say that both the Flare Gun and the Cube were “popular” weapons, with the flare gun being banned the most.
This was also the first non-free tournament, teams had to pay a 375 $Gcoin entry fee and 100% of those fees was used to reward the top 3!
Next up in the GCC might be a partner-only fight! Get them ready, those Arlens and … !
The Galaxy Community Cup is mainly for fun and to test out new formats, where people can collect some minor prizes on the way…
Welcome Bi-Weekly Tournaments!
Every two weeks 2E is up for grabs! Rules are simple, a maximum of 32 teams will battle it out spread over two days. All games on day two will be broadcasted live!
Weapon tiers are assigned points and Teams have to build compositions within the allowed amount of points, no weapon can be used twice within the same team “built”. *(Expect something similar for races eventually)
The winning team does not only walk away with over 1.1E, they also get a spot in the cross IP tournament later this year where the big big bucks will be earned!
The rules of the Bi-weekly tournament are pretty much set and will rotate between all servers and timezones! *https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OZETFO13ij8K-v6Uk7wzaiqfoVJzYqq8QRpJ4MbZ0Xc/edit?usp=sharing*
So what are all those tournaments if people don’t know about them? We hear you, we hear you! We have opened the #Community-Marketing channel on discord. It will be THE place where we share GFC assets for you to use! From overlays to stream on Twitch, Youtube, … to GFC Logos and Banners and promotional videos. It is also a place for anything you have created and want to share with the community. It will act as a lovely database to help with twitter raids and community marketing events!
See you in two weeks for more tournament and community updates! (Also, make sure to tag your favourite gameplay moments!!! #playoftheweek !!!)
- GCC Tournament 1 Asian Server: Trial players and weapons only
- GCC Tournament 2 USA East Server: Trial players and weapons only
- GCC Tournament 3 Europe Server: Trial players and weapons only
- GCC Tournament 4 Europe Server: Weapon Ban
- Bi-Weekly Tournament 1 USA East Server: 2Eth Prize Pool
- GCC Tournament 5: Asia Server: Partner Character (/weapons) only

And then there is one more thing for our community! In particular those who hold the almighty Battle Pass .. Yes — Wenn Hoodie!!
The time has come! (Lion not included)
We have been in the process of collecting wallet and delivery addresses and will start sending out awesomeness across the globe from next week!!
